It started with Mario Fiasconaro’s small ice-cream shop in Castelbuono in 1953. His sons continued the family story, with pastry chef Nicola bringing Sicily’s flavours into the Italian panettone tradition.
Serve a slice with an afternoon coffee, or gently warm it and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an easy dessert.
