Each almond is coated by hand over seven days with nothing but pure sugar. No starch. No additives. The same traditional method since their great-great-grandfather started.

Elvezia one of the Pelino family came to work with us whilst travelling. She very modestly did not tell us initially what her family did. She became a good friend and when she left to continue her travels spoke to her father who agreed to allow us to supply their products

I travelled to Sulmona to meet Elvezia Pelino in her family's workshop. She walked me through their process, the same one Stanley Tucci filmed for "Searching for Italy."

The Pelino family rarely partners with retailers. Elvezia understood the values and craftmanship we stand for, and she chose The Sicilian to be their only online reseller in the Britain.
