Giuseppe: Growing ancestral heirloom legumes

Giuseppe is from Agira, a small town in the heart of eastern Sicily. He is a close friend of Carlo’s, and their families have shared a bond that goes back generations. Giuseppe owns farmland on the Sicilian hills, where he cultivates wheat and organic legumes. 

His mission is to grow and supply top-quality Sicilian products, both to Carlo and to clients across Sicily and Northern Europe. He shares our values: food grown naturally, in ways that respect the environment and deliver superior quality to customers. 

This summer, Carlo personally visited Giuseppe’s fields to see the crops and taste them straight from the soil — black lentils and chickpeas rich in the flavors of their land. Today, Giuseppe supplies us with green lentils, Beluga black lentils, and chickpeas.
